We are very excited to announce and welcome a new city to the sponsored-by Shifter catalog: WordCamp Kuala Lumpur!
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia with a skyline dominated by some of the most famous architectural projects in history. Petronas Twin Towers anyone? Let’s not downplay how awesome Kuala Lumpur is and how lucky WordCamp is to have it back for another year.
For some perspective and to pull some inspiration from Mullenweg’s State of the Word 2015 Keynote, this year is on track to surpass all previous years in the number of active WordCamps and WordPress related Meetups, ever.
So far, here’s what to look forward to at WordCamp Kuala Lumpur.
For starters, we’ll be there! Come to join us at the Shifter booth and say hello. This is also our first time in Kuala Lumpur too and we look forward to connecting with the local developer community one-on-one.
If you are active in the WordPress and AWS community and will be attending WordCamp Kuala Lumpur, let us know! We have high-fives and swag especially for you.
A Rockstar Speaker Lineup
The organizers of WordCamp Kuala Lumpur have only announced the first round of speakers and without any session topics yet it’s already looking very promising. From experts in eCommerce to WordPress devs from pioneering WordPress agencies, it looks great.
We recommend subscribing to updates here or checking out their Twitter of the official WordCamp event website for the latest info and upcoming announcements.
Become a Microsponsor!
Last year, WordCamp Kuala Lumpur hosted almost 200 attendees. That number is expected to grow and at just 70 MYR (roughly $17 USD) that’s a great deal for what WordCamp has to offer.
If you can, we suggest attending as a Microsponsor (aka Individual Sponsor) to support the community and ensure this event is accessible to all.
For more info on tickets and Microsponsor pricing visit their tickets page here.
That’s all for now! See you in Malaysia.
