Every year since 2014, Amazon Web Services has selected several outstanding individuals who have made major contributions to the AWS community and names them AWS Community Heroes. This year, 25 Heros were selected from 13 countries and we couldn’t be more happy to announce that our very own Hiromi Ito has been among those selected as AWS Community Hero.
Along with leading DigitalCube’s Customer Marketing, Hiromi oversees and creates marketing events that help our users get a better understanding of DigitalCube’s products and services.
In the community field, Hiromi has been involved in the Japanese AWS user group (JAWS-UG) since 2014, both locally with JAWS-UG Osaka and regionally with JAWS-UG Kansai. She has also been actively involved in the AWS community nationally in Japan and in the AWS community abroad. She is also the creator of the AWS Asian Women’s Association (AAWA), an organization that hosts events and online meetups in the APAC region. Last year in 2019, Hiromi planned and held the first AAWA conference in Singapore in collaboration with women active in the IT field in Asia.
We couldn’t be more proud to have Hiromi as part of the team, and we applaud her dedication and accomplishment.
Stay tuned for news about AWS, WordCamps, meetups, conferences, sponsored events and more.
